Joe and I have been thinking about getting Cotton a companion for a while, but with the wedding and all, we wanted to wait until everything settles down, and get a puppy as husband and wife. we started searching for another dog after we came back from the wedding. With Cotton setting the bar so high, boy was it hard to find the right one
We thought about getting a small poodle, but evantually went back to our first love – Maltese. Malteses are just so easy going, loves to be around people, easy to train, doesn’t bark much and fun to be with. And bonus, they hop around like a rabbit when they are excited !
Drum roll please….

With the help of my friend Kenny Phan, we named him Moochi !! He responded to the name right away !
Thanks to Shirl with Misty Mountain Maltese whom took such good care of Moochi for the first 11 weeks of his life, he’s a bundle of joy ,loves to follow us around, basically potty trained and listens to commands already !
On Chinese New Year Day, Joe and I celebrated by having our pictures taken by an awesome photographer, Jasmine Star. Joe and I got married over the holidays in Asia, and before the wedding, in order to conform to the customs oversees, we had a photo session in wedding attire, but not in casual clothes.
We regretted not having a casual engagement session after we came back, and contacted Jasmine Star regarding an anytime session.
We prayed real hard for a sunny day… but forgot to pray for a warm day…. >_< It was pretty cold that day, but talking and laughing with Jasmine Star warmed me up. I usually try to have lady-like smile in front of the camera, but Jasmine saw right through me, and started chatting it up… I haven’t laugh that hard in front of the camera in a loooong time.
Here are some of my favorites.
This was taken toward the beginning of the photo session, here I am with my fake smile….

And with the real smile….

Love the sunset light!

Please see Jasmine’s blog for more pictures and slideshow

This picture was taken with with a Canon robotic camera, pulled together over 200 individual shots, and weighs in at 1,474 megapixel.
Double click an area to zoom in and wait for it to focus, it takes a second to focus, do it a couple of times …and then you can see some amazing reactions. What an awesome camera !

Bonus points if you find Yo-Yo Ma …. taking a picture with his iPhone !

Enjoy the high definition picture !! There is Soooo much to see !!
